Artist spiel: Hi, my name is Tom McCone, and this is my third album released under the 
artist name of Monochrome Depths (originally Plain Division, changed moniker for stylistic
reasons). This album has, as always, moved in a new direction from my other albums, 
this time including the use of actual, physical instruments, namely keyboard and guitar, 
but of course, there are still electronic elements to be found bascially everywhere in the album.

I used Reason 4.0, Audiomulch, Renoise 1.9 and Adobe Audition for this album, along with 
what has become a prominent motif, the use of irdial recordings for texture, often heavily laden
with effects. the overriding theme to this album has been that of a post-apocalyptic feel, 
as this is a concept I personally find much interest in, so I have intentionally left fuzz in on
tracks, or used (as mentioned before) staticy irdial recordings, and many other aspects found in the sound to
attempt to create lonely, desolate soundscapes in an effort to convey the picture.
